Easy Braid desoldering wick products are made using ultra fine, oxide-free copper braided into a closed weave configuration that maximizes thermal conduction and solder retention. Immediately after braiding, the wick is cleaned in an environmentally friendly process unique to Easy Braid. Every safeguard is taken to ensure that the wick remains oxide-free until it is coated through Easy Braid’s proprietary flux process. The tight weave configuration requires less time for desoldering, thus minimizing lifted pads and thermal damage and absorbing up to 30% more solder mass. This enables an operator to get on and off a connection quickly, using less wick to accomplish the task.

Desoldering braid is copper braid used in the rework and repair of circuit boards, computers, cell phones, or other electronics. Electronic components are often mounted on a circuit board and careful desoldering of components results in preventing damage to the circuit board and the component being removed. Desoldering braid lets you easily remove the extra solder from components or pads on the circuit board.
